Hello to all those faithfully reading and hopefully enjoying this effort to make even the worst horror movie more watcha... aw, screw that - I'm not that good. If a movie makes you cringe because yet another batch of unlikable teens that are pushing 30 are inching toward their deaths, having a party no one does anywhere ever, a paranormal movie is boring you to tears with unending pans of empty rooms, or thanks to CGI technology when people finally bite it, their blood squirts everywhere except on the victim, the ground, the people next to them... you're in good company and this is the right place for you.
THIS COULD BE GOOD... DAMMIT IT'S TERRIBLE!!!
Baby Shower aka Blood Shower (2011) Chile
This was the first horror movie from Chile I had seen so I was looking forward to something a little different. What you get watching this is confused. For one there is NO baby shower, we get first what seems is going to be a revenge type movie, which kind of mushes into a cult type movie which pans out to a torture type movie which finally gets to some horror and then dies into nothing and we wait and wait and wait and then...
We get a splat here and there as they get killed one by one, a subplot is revealed (kind of) but in the end nothing is ever explained, the cult thing is not explained either so we don't know what they have to be afraid of (other than them being murdering weirdos) and in the end you just sigh and hope Chile doesn't try again anytime soon.
