Hello to all those faithfully reading and hopefully enjoying this effort to make even the worst horror movie more watcha... aw, screw that - I'm not that good. If a movie makes you cringe because yet another batch of unlikable teens that are pushing 30 are inching toward their deaths, having a party no one does anywhere ever, a paranormal movie is boring you to tears with unending pans of empty rooms, or thanks to CGI technology when people finally bite it, their blood squirts everywhere except on the victim, the ground, the people next to them... you're in good company and this is the right place for you.

CHARACTER ACTORS YOU'VE PROBABLY SEEN A LOT OF BUT DIDN'T REALIZE IT

Jeffrey Combs

I remember when I first saw The Frighteners. Who could NOT like a Michael J. Fox movie? He played a more maudlin character than usual, a widower with the dubious talent of seeing ghosts, and making a living off of 'removing' them (his own personal team he uses over and over again).

But what struck me hardest about this movie was a character called Special Agent Milton Dammers. This was as freaky a freak as you'd ever NOT want to meet. He was creepy, he was obviously insane, and he was so good you almost forget about Michael just watching him work. That was Jeffrey Combs, but far from the first movie he'd ever done.

One of the most - I guess you could call it iconic - works Jeffrey has done has got to be the Re-Animator series. I mean, it's Evil Dead with Jeffrey and a glowing green syringe. How could you not love it?

Besides being in one of my favorite horror movies, House On Haunted Hill, Jeffrey has done a wide variety of films both in small and large roles. He is always good, always interesting, and I would watch anything he was in at least once (even The Dunwich Horror remake).

If he's in something you plan on watching, watch it for him. It will be worth it.
